i have the same problem, but it doesnt help that 7 years ago i broke my back and have arthritis in it now.... but the only thing that I have found that works and WORKS AMAZINGLY WELL is the Moby style sling... I refused to pay $60 for one so I went to the fabric store and got the material and made it myself at home ( new sewing !!) there are directions for it online.... or if you want I can walk you through it... its great !! OMG i love it... my 4 month old is 18 lbs.... so I feel your pain... but I use this thing and wow I have hands again, and I have very little to no back pain.. this cairrier is perfect you can carry the baby 5 different ways and if you are breastfeeding you can feed in it as well... I am going to CA with my family next month, and I plan to use this in the airports and the plane.... Ill let you know how it goes!!!

A wrap or mei tai that spreads baby's weight across your back.

NOT a bjorn or snugli.

Quoting Dawn:

Mine is 25# I feel your pain. I like the idea behind the "moby wraps" you are able to tie material several different ways, and carry your child either on your front side and on your back! You can even use it as your child gets bigger I think even a three year old (check on that) but I've seen some bigger kids in them and the moms I've spoken to all love them and speek highly of them! check it out online - Hope to help I may need it sooner than late!

u can buy these wrap/sling things on ebay!!!! all my friends swear by them!!! good luck
