My little girl is 9 1/2 months old, and for the last 2 days she will not take her bottle at all.I haven't changed the formula, or the bottle. I think her second tooth is coming in as she is very grumpy and red cheeked. She is taking solid foods, but not as much as normal. I'm lucky if she took 2oz of milk today. I mixed her formula up with some porridge before bedtime tonight, just so she had something! It's sooooo frustrating, because she needs the goodness out of her formula still. I have tried her with different formulas in the past, but they all seem to give her the runs! Should I persevere, or go see the Doc?

I am having the same problem with my 5 months old daughter for the last two (2) days too. the only thing she's taking is the gerber fruits. It's so depresiing i ahve to be forcing her, and when i'm done i'm sorry for her cause she looks in my face and keeps crying.

I hadn't thought about an ear infection! I have noticed, now that you mention it that she's been pulling at her ears. I'll give the Dr a ring tomorrow. She's at the point where she just starts crying and wriggling when she sees the bottle!

Its normal for them to go on nursing strikes especially when teething. Just keep offering her it and she will take it when she feels better. She won't starve herself. Also try giving her some Tylenol and offer the bottle 30-60 minutes later. It really shouldn't last long. If she is pulling at her ears I would take her into the doctor to rule out an ear infection. Sucking really hurts ear infections. You could also try offering her the formula in a sippy cup.
