the best thing i can think of is not to expect her first boy to be super excited about the baby....i have done the bringing the new baby home thing many times and have found that if you let the other kids show some interest when - and only when- they are ready, there is alot less adjustment problems...it can be a bit disappointing when they don't seem all that interested but let them come to it in their own time and it may lessen any jealousy or resentment that might occur. as well as that, just the usual make time just with them when you can, that sort of stuff....little ones can sometimes surprise you with how easy going they can be.

have him go to the ulta sounds dr apt help name the baby ,help with the babys room .have the baby get him a big brother shirt or gift ...most of all talk about the baby and the baby whats going to do ,that mom and dad are going to still love him .may not let him be in the deliverly room but as soon as he is born let him see and help with the baby ,give the pacifire or the bottle let him hold him with an adult around get diapers ect ,have him involved as much as she can ,even let him feel when the baby kicks and say when you were in my belly ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~.

One thing I did was I prepared a bow one with paints and sponges newspapers another with playdough cookie cutters in the other I hae simple toys but the point is I bring one down for each breast feed my daughter loves this and she gets excited for when I have to feed or bathe her brother of course theyd have to be age appropriate but have fun stuff that they enjoy and didnt always get but not stuff that they will need constant help with as that will just cause a struggle even mega blocks for a one year old would be great
