Also another tip i do is if hes been awake for any longer than 3 hrs takes a long time for him to settle to sleep because he's overtired.

Hello i have a 9month old boy and he does the same thing. My child health nurse told me i have to stop rocking him to sleep and let him fall asleep on his own. Put her in the cot before she falls asleep with you that way she can fall asleep on her own and if you have any trouble with her waking in the middle of night for cuddles or bottles she will know how to fall asleep on her own without the rocking and comfort of mummy.

The last 4 nights its been great i let him cry and scream if he's ok like fed dirty nappy burp. Just time it and eventually he will go to sleep on his own and learn that you will not come running everytime she crys for you.

Its hard but hang in there it does get better.

Hope this helps

I know, we had a very rough time...especially when we moved him to his crib at 2 months, but we would go check on him every 20 mins or so just to make sure he was ok...give him his paci, talk to him for a min to make sure he knew we were still there for him. Also, just standing there and letting them see you and feel your presence can help tremendously.

My son use to be that way. He is 4 months now and about two months ago we introduced a bedtime schedule to him and a month ago we removed the rocking portion and just read holding him on the couch. I am, however, one of those moms who believes in letting the baby cry it out if I know they are not in pain and their needs have been met (not hungry, no wet/dirty diaper, comfortable) and we had to so at first. Now we put him in his crib between 8:45 and 9pm every night and he goes to sleep on his own.
