My 3 month old has a viral infection for three days now. He's not running a fever anymore, but everytime I pic him up he screams in pain. How long does it take for an infant to get over a viral infection? What are the symptoms?

thats scary cause you dont know if its internal or not. if hes comfy just let him rest maybe in a few days hell be better. if not make sure u tell a doc the amount of pain hes in and demand he gets looked at.

I've taken him to the doc twice since it started. He's not running a fever anymore, no runny nose, no coughing, not stopped up or anything. He could be fine and cooing, then moments later when I move him from one place to another, he screams like it hurts.

then i guess i would just do what the doctors say, watch him closly, play with him make sure you get smiles out of him and make sure hes getting rest. my daughter was sick, just a cold, and all i did was make sure she smiled and got rest and shes better. if they gave u medicine just make sure he takes it and that he eats well or well enough

I agree you should definately take him to the doctor, with all of the things going on right now it is best to be safe and not take any chances. Is he running a fever, coughing, flushed, runny nose, or stopped up, raspy sounding?
