My barely 5 month old daughter has a crazy sleep schedule. She falls asleep anywhere between 11pm and 2am. The good news is that once she's asleep, she's out for 8-10 hours. But I really want to set a certain bed time for her which is definitely earlier than 11. She takes 3 naps during the day and each is half an hour to forty five minutes if I'm lucky and her last nap is waaaaay before its her bed time. Also, when she's sleepy, NOTHING can keep her from falling asleep, so I can't do much in that department. Any ideas that don't include her crying herself to sleep? Please help!

she's having 5 bottles of 150ml milk everyday. Dr. says its just fine and she's a bit chubby so I guess she's eating well. I tried the bath/massage/bottle routine yesterday... it seemed to work (fingers crossed). Thanks!

Hiya Hanah,

My lil boy is 6.5 months old and since 3 months we have a real set routine for him, which he got used to pretty quick..we just persisted. Bath time @ 6.30...little massage and change into pjs...then his bottle in his dark room...he is always out by 7.30 and sleeps through to 6.30 or 7 the next morning...its just setting a routine as I find that my little boy likes to do the same thing...he has 3 naps a day too..each for about 45mins - hour... How is your lil girls feeding? Hope things improve for you :)

Personally I think if she's giving you 8-10 hours at night - I wouldn't mess with it : ) Of course if you must, I would suggest starting to bed a tiny bit earlier each night - moving things by 15min per day.

Yeah I usually give her a bath then a bottle but it doesn't always work. I think she's very moody

Hey

With my 6week old i tend to give her a bath around 7.30ish then after that i give her a massage with cream that has lavender and something else in it then she has a bottle. I make sure that its quiet and not too bright where ever i give her the bottle. This usually does the trick i put her down while she is awake and within 15minutes shes asleep and stays that way from 8.30ish till at least 9 in the morning. Hope this helps. Good luck
