Any tried and true methods for feeding solids to baby? My first daughter did TERRIBLE with baby food, and never ate well until she was on table food a 9 months. My baby is almos 5 mos old and very big. She did great with just rice cereal at first, and we have now added green beans. Do I just keep offering new food until she takes to one? She did good with rice cereal for awhile, then stopped. Good with green beans, then stopped. Do I just move to something else then come back to it. Does she have to have the 1/4 cup per day of cereal? I really want to enjoy this phase this time, she has been such a good baby but this is proving to be a real struggle for me( again). Any suggestions appreciated, I am concerned about having another up hill battle!

I know that they say to try one food for a few days to make sure there are no allergic reactions so variety is good just keep trying new things every couple of days With our son he is 6months old and he eats all sorts of baby food, we just kept giving him different stuff all the time so he didnt get bored with it and eventually we started to see what he liked most. I would say try something new for a few days and you can always go back to cereal or green beans later. I give my son fruit in the morning with oatmeal. Then a combo for lunch and then a veggie or dinner at night mixed with cereal. He is a real good eater and very hefty. Let me know if you have any more Qs
