My sons been teething recently and I can tell when it's really bothering him, so my first instinct is to grab some pain relief. How often do you give your child pain relief when teething? I can obviously follow the instructions on the box, but sometimes I feel like I might be over doing it. We've used orajel, teething tablets & tylenol. Usually mixing instant relief w/ the Tylenol so he'll be good for now and later. Too much?

Nope. My daughter is teething and we give her infant tylenol every 3.5 hours. That way as the last dose is wearing off the next dose is coming in. Works wonders, and she's completely alert and can smile and interact and stuff.

Thanks ladies! So far we've been doing the tablets and sometimes combining it with the Tylenol. My problem with rub on gels or powders is that my son usually sticks his tongue out when I open his mount and 9 times out of 10 it only gets on his tongue. Brittany I do worry about him not feeling his tongue and possibly biting it or not being able to eat properly. Thanks again ladies. :)
