Oh and like it was mentioned earlier- steralize EVERYTHING that goes into your baby's mouth and do it often. Bottle nipples, pacifiers, toys, anything. The thrush can be transfered to any of those items and back again to your baby's mouth.

Keep giving him the medicine until it has run out. If you still see any patches of white anywhere in his mouth, go back for more. All it takes is one cell left over for another flair up to occur- even if you don't see any spots after a few days. We ended up dealing with thrush for almost 2-3 weeks with my daughter because we kept stopping her meds when we didn't see any patches in her mouth. It wasn't until we gave her the whole bottle that it finally went away.

If the meds aren't working you can use a little Glycerin on a cloth and rub on his/her tongue.

If your still finding the white icky stuff then he still has it. My daughter had it and it was a matter of 2-3 days after she started taking the meds that it went away.

Quoting mary:

i believe when you can no longer see the white crust on the mouth, lips, and cheeks. My 12 week old and I have had two bouts in the last month. Sterilize bottle nipples and put baby's medicine on you before breastfeeding. That's all I know.

But its on his tongue ?

it is different with every child but it usually goes away after 3 or 4 days after you start giving the baby medicine for the baby's mouth
