Too young for teething??

My daughter has been fussy, drooling profusely, running a slight temp, and chewing (I mean REALLY chewing!) on her hands, me, and her pacifier the past couple of days -- all teething symptoms....but she's only a month old. Is it possible that she could already be teething?!

I know that some babies are born with teeth, so the idea doesn't seem totally impossible, but still pretty far-fetched....

Sometimes babies may have teething symptoms when their teeth are spurting into their gums. But 1 month old is not to young to start cutting teeth.
Good Luck

If you look at the teething toys, some will say 3+ or 0+. My niece started teething around 3 months old and she was also a preemie. I swore my sister-in-law was just trying to find a reason for her to be fussy, but within a couple weeks, she had teeth popping in.. When I asked my doctor about it, since my son is 2 months and I want to kind of brace myself for that period in time, he said that every child is different. Trying orajel on them will not hurt, since it helps keep the gums clean and all. Try that maybe?? Grab those teething rings, you'll need them eventually.. Hopefully this helps in some way♥

my first daughter started teething at 4 month. i thought that was normal. And then when i had my 2 child she started teething just before she was 2 months. and now she is almost 5 months and she is starting to get 2 teeth in.

Babies can show signs of teething long before a tooth actually breaks through. So, he could be showing teething signs, but actually not have a tooth show up for another 4 months.

I was wondering the same exact thing but my baby boy is just about 2 months old and showing the same signs as your daughter. He has been doing it all for a couple weeks now...no sign of little teeth though.
