unfortunately that taste in your mouth won't go away for a while. It's a symptom of pregnancy. you're gums kinda plump up if you will with blood when you are pregnant and can cause your gums to bleed when you brush and is accompanied by that metallic taste. I had that for about the first 4 months of my pregnancy pretty bad and then eventually you don't notice it anymore cuz you're so used to it. And make sure you brush your teeth a LOT....pregnancy believe it or not takes it's toll on your mouth and after you have a baby you're teeth are never the same. It's weird how that happens, but it does.

thanx heaps.

yeah iv had the tablets from the hospital as i was admited and put on a drip a few weeks ago, but they seemed to make me worse. im now not taking anything and i doo feel alot better its just most everyhting i eat gives me the weirdest feeling in my tummie and i throw most everything back up aswell. i can keep water down now,and salad is great aswell, but fruit is terrible az the acids in the fruit burn my throat when i throw it back up causing my throat to bleed. oh and plzzz tell me sum1 knows how 2 get rid of this... i have the most terrible taste in my mouth i cant get rid of it even after brushing my teeth its sorta liike metal but soo unpleasent.!

Oh and one more thing.......Maybe the doctor could give you something like Zofran. It's a tablet that dissolves on your tongue that takes aways nausea instantly. I don't know if they have something similar for pregnant women or not but it's worth at shot.

Unfortunately sometimes being sick is just part of the process no matter what you do. Sipping flat ginger ale or sucking on a mint helped me. I also noticed that Trident Spearmint Gum really helped aleviate the nausea. Just be sure to drink plenty of fluids especially water to avoid becoming dehydrated if you are throwing up a lot. And since vitamins (prenatal or otherwise) can be harsh on your stomach its best to take them with some food in your belly to help avoid the sickies.

Good luck hun! And congratulations...

Hey sweet heart. I tried a swisse pregnancy one. but if you arent feeling to well taking vitamins arent going to help. as they are really heavy on your stomach. Try drinking flat lemonade before eating or drinking anything else. i also found the ginger or vegemite helped while pregnant with my son. and my daughter. her pregnancy was bad. I found eating salads helped but no dressing jsut freshly washed salads or fruit slads. and Getting vita wheats they are good and healthy for you and bub and again very light. i'm sorry i cant be of more help. just everything is trail and error and if it keeps going there is tablets they can give you to take half an hr before eating to help out i cant remember the name but a girl friend of mine had them. i refused any medication while pregnant unless desperatly needed. I hope some of this has helped for you sweet heart. Take care. and let me know if ther is anythign else i can help with. i hope things calm down for you soon
