Yes it definitely depends on the baby.. My son is 2 months and 3 weeks and pretty much sleeps through the night and has been since about 2 months. He goes to bed at 8pm wakes up at 5:30am to eat and back to sleep until about 7-8am. So it depends on the baby hun.. Dont worry, itll happen eventually! :) My son woke up religiously every 3 hours each night and then one night just started sleeping through the night! Scared me at first cause I was nervous why he didnt wake me up lol but now hes great!

Thanks everyone for the great answers. Emma is almost 2 months old and sleeps different times everyday, no particular pattern yet. As per her pediatrician she has day and night very mixed up still. She has been sleeping 4 to 5 hours between each feeding now for a couple weeks, once she actually slept 7 but never did that again yet. Can't complain though she is such a wonderful baby a blessing.

theres no definitive answer some babies sleep 13 hours form birth others do not sleep through til they are 1 or 2. mine has been sleeping thru since she was a week old but i had to get her up for feeds alot which was unfair on her. you can aid them in sleeping through by using formula at night if breast feeding or adding rice cereal to the bottle or extra scoops/high calorie formula

again every baby is different but our experience is once he could roll over he started to sleep through the night. He hated tummy time during the day but never slept through the night until we tried him on his stomach it worked for us. It also depends if you are breastfeeding or not and if so if you are doing on demand feedings or trying to schedule feedings.
Good luck!

I agree it depends on the baby. My daughter started sleeping good when she was able to roll over onto her side (5 1/2 months). I read up on baby sleeping patterns. I found it helped me understand why she needed to wake up so often and I stopped feeling like a bad mom. But i think you should expect it to happen around 6 months.

Rachel, It all depends on the individual baby, every child is different. My son is now 7 months and he has been sleeping all night since he was about 2 months or so. Maybe a little younger. But then again I read a lot about people's children that are over a year old before they sleep all night or they are over a year and still not sleeping all night. How old is your little one?
