i breastfeed (well pumped, he wouldn't latch) until he was about 2 weeks. then i started Similac sensitive and about 6 months i started Similac advanced. Similac is great and the hospital i delivered at recommended it.

Well, I breastfed for about a week until I received that I just couldn't do it any more and I trully felt bad for switching, but at the same time, I'm much happier that I put my baby on formula because we are both able to get a goodnight's sleep.

I've been using Nestlé Good start since the birth of my son and it's been working great. Every child is different though and you will have to try it in order to see if he take the milk or not.

I tried breastfeeding for the first 3 weeks after my son was born and he wasn't getting satisfied off it...I was feeding him at least every 45 mins to an hour! It was a tough decision, because I wanted to give him all the benefits of breastmilk, but I knew he wasn't getting enough. I originally started using Enfamil. He took to it wonderfully. I would highly recommend it! Then, when my son was about three months old I joined W.I.C - they help pay for formula and groceries...and long story but they have a contract with the formula companies and W.I.C is signed on with Similac in the state I'm in, so I had to make the switch. It took some getting used to but he is perfectly fine with it now. I would highly recommend either. Formula these days is very close to breast milk, regardless of what negativities you may hear, so don't let anyone discourage you. We all have to do what we have to do - adapt, make changes, etc. Your baby will be happy and healthy either way! I have also used store brand formula - "Up and Up" from Target...the ingredients are very similar to Similac. Again, I would recommend it, plus it is half the cost of Enfamil or Similac.

My daughter takes Similac NeoSure. It is a high calorie formula made for premature infants. She's been on it since birth and grew to be the size of a full term infant her age by her 2 month well baby check up. I have also used other Similac brands when I have run out of her "special" formula....Isomil (soy) and Similac Advanced.

My son is 7 months old now. We tried to breastfeed at first but it wasnt working for us. He was too hungry and I wasnt producing. We use Similac formula. The hospital recommended it to us. They have several different kinds depending on your babies needs. My son was extremely gassy at first so we used a soy formula to help reduce this.

use what works best for your baby, before mine was born I signed up for every free sample that I could, we tried each one till we found one that agreed with her. We found Similac Sensitive and Advance were the best for my girl!!

9 weeks of breast milk is fabulous -- just wanted to respond to that first. And now you're making sure your baby is getting the best nutrition possible. Unfortunately, you may need to try a few before finding one that suits your child's GI system. I got lucky and my child did well on the Kroger brand with DHA. Good luck!

I never produced enough milk to feed my son and he also had a cyst under his tongue when he was born which prevented him from latching correctly. For the first month, I pumped getting only 1 ounce every time and supplementing w/ Gentlease from Enfamil. When he upped his ounce intake, I couldn't keep up so I switched to a mix of Enfamil Premium and Enfamil AR. He has reflux so the AR helped his food stay down but he got constipated just from the AR so I decided to mix. HTH.

I use Enfamil Gentlease because my son gets pretty gassy. It helped with his reflux too.

i used what you are using.. It worked awsome for my little girl.. I spent a good 2 hours checking formula over before I made my pick.. I need something that was going to be very very easy on her tummy dur to her having gastroschisis.. I did try others but none of the worked as well.. i did breatfeed as long as i could but she wasn't getting much and i could keep up with pumping try to take care of her and her 2 year old brother... hope this is helpful... Best wishes and take care

yeah same with me she wouldnt latch on . and i couldnt keep up with pumping cause i had so many things to do.
but it seems like alot of mothers compete with brestfeeding.
and some people make you feel really bad about it

i never breast fed. didn't produce enough and i wasn't quite sure i wanted to (no one supports my decision, i got lectured on how i should breast feed but w/e.) i use enfamil premium lipil. i have no problems with it, and my baby girl seems to love it. i tried similac and that made her really constipated, but thats probably cuz she was put on enfamil first.

HELLO CHRISTY

I CANT BREASTFEED MY ONE MONTH OLD SON BECAUSE HE REFUSES TO LATCH.SO I EXPRESS BREASTMILK AND GIVE IT TO HIM VIA BOTTLE BUT ALSO A FORMULA FEED.I USE NAN 1 AND MY SON IS DOING VERY WELL ON IT.HE SLEEPS WELL,IS GAINING WEIGHT AND IS NOT CONSTAPATED OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.MY DOCTER TOLD ME THAT NAN 1 WORKS WELL WITH BREASTMILK.

USE WHAT FORMULA YOU SEE WORKS THE BEST FOR YOUR BABY AND IF SHE`S HAPPY WITH IT ALLS IS WELL.

ENJOY YOUR DAY.
