My daughter is 5 months old up till a week ago she slept through the night till about 5:30 then had a feed then slept till about 7:30/8. She has a bath at about 8:30pm and then has a feed and then I put her in her cot with her mobile on and she gets herself to sleep. The last week she has been waking up, upto 10times a night. She doesn't want feeding and she isn't wet, i've made sure she is warm enough. I have tried letting her CIO but it doesn't work she gets so worked up she chokes. All she wants is a cuddle with her mum to fall back asleep. I wouldn't mind if it was once or twice a night but by the time i get back to sleep she is awake again so i'm running on empty!

She only has 2 naps during the day about 30mins each time.

Does anybody no what has happened to her sleeping....please help I need sleep!!

It might be teeth!! But yeah i usually avoid the picking up thing, I usually just sit beside the cot and pat but I dont give eye contact.....I justfind that they get used to the idea that if they cry they will be picked up!!! it probably sounds like she is sort of choking but the human body just wont allow it unless something lodged in the throat!! Look at your watch when she starts crying and sit with her and try calming her that way rather than picking up. if not calm after 15 min pick her up calm her and you down then start again. she will prbably cry the second you put her down but will learn that your still there!! Its really worth trying.... be patient it will all come back together!!! statrting a small amount of solids might be worth a try too!! maybe she just needs a littlemore

Sounds like she's suffering from a little separation issue. It happens later on when they realise they're not attached to you. My sister-in-law gave me a tip. Get yourself an acrylic blanket (the ones with silky edging - Mothercare do them for £5.99). For one week at least where it against your skin underneath your clothes. This will pick up your smell and baby can keep it with her as security. It doesn't matter if it goes over her face either as they can breath through them.
