We use Similac, but the Walmart brand Parent's Choice, is pretty well exactly the same and both of my sisters-in-law use the Parent's Choice and really like it. Good luck and hopefully your meds do their job.

I use Nestle Good Start... i didn't have a premie, but my son does excellent on it. He used to be a spitter-upper, but that changed awhile ago. I also know similac is very good. the advanced is the closest thing out there to breastmilk... good luck!

See what works for your little one! But my little boy was early and he had trouble with formula, I too had to stop nursing. We ended up on Enfamil Gentlease! It is wonderful, but just be aware of the BM's. Mine got constipated with formula, which many do! Give each formula that you try atleast 10 days before you say thats not the one! GOOD LUCK

My daughter does REALLY SUPER on Enfamil Premium with Lipil. She never spits up or gets belly aches, and her stool adjusted to it very very well. I also use Dr. Brown bottles to help reduce gas and colic as well. Just a suggestion! I also know that Similac has a formula out that is blue, I think it might be Advanced, and it apparently is the closest any formula comes to breast milk. So, if you are wanting to stay down that path, there is that one too! My formula runs me about $24.00 a can for the biggest one they have. Walmart also has a generic version that is much cheaper.

I have been bottle feeding my son since day one, and the hospital put him on Similac Advance. He does really well on it and we haven't switched it (he was born just a few days before your son).

Mine was a premee at birth too. I started him on Similac sensitive, and around 6 months switched to Similac advance. He has always done good with this brand.

i'm surprised the ped doesn't have him on neosure which is in the similac family. i think, if he doesn't nedd a preemie formula i like carnation good start . my second son had colic and reflux and it seemed to agree with him best . but again all babies are different. good luck . soory you had to stop breastfeeding i know when i went back to work i quit because pumping was so hard to squeeze in . but don't worry he will be just a healthy on formula and as for the bonding issue my baby stays home with dad all day but he loves me to come home . good luck
