I switched my baby almost immediatly, it was taking for ever for him to drink his 4 oz. He was maybe a month when I switched. It was taking him an hour and a half to drink his bottle. You'll know when your baby is ready. It gets some getting used to at the beginning but he gets used to it pretty fast. :)

Hi Jen,

I switched from slow flow to fast flow @ about 2 & a half - 3 months...you'll be able to tell when you should switch when your little one gets tired of sucking & are having a hard time getting any formula out of the bottle..give it a go & see what happens..you can always switch back to the slow flow if your baby isn't ready!! I did it slowly to see what he would do...sometimes he liked the slow & sometimes the fast...It depended on his "tiredness". Just be patient..and have alot of wipe cloths when you switch over too!!!
