When should I start feeding my baby more than one thing of fruit or vegetables?

My daughter is about to be 5 months. She has been drinking breastmilk from a bottle since 2 months and we've been mixing it half milk half formula, and now she's just on formula. ( I have to go back to school in September and have no way to pump) She was having a hard time pooping so the Dr. told us to give her vegetables and she have been on them for about a month, maybe a little more. She sleeps all night from about 10 to 7:00, and then goes back to sleep till about 11:30 sometimes 12, so she still eats 5 oz. every two hours. She eats half a thing of vegetables at about 11:30 before her bottle every day and I was going to bump her up to a full thing of vegetables when she turns 6 months. Also, we're not giving her fruit until she likes peas and green beans because she does not like the taste and we're afraid a sweet fruit will make her hate them even more. I just started today giving her two bites of peas for one bite of pears since pears have the least sugar in them. I've noticed she's starting to gain quite a bit of weight now that we've switched just formula. She has no teeth yet, but she's starting to teethe, so there's one coming!! Gerber has a handy chart that says switch to stage 2 when babies can sit by themselves and stage 3 when they can crawl and she'll probably be sitting by herself by the latest end of August. So my question again.... when should we switch to more than one thing of vegetable or fruit a day?? And how much formula should I up her to when she turns 6 months, so perhaps she doesn't eat every 2 hours....my mom said she feels like she feeds her 24/7 when she's over! 6 oz or and slowly move up to 8oz?

at her age, feeding frequency is 3 times a day for solid food..you can introduce 3 different kinds of food..but one at a time..you can give her mashed apples, bananas and potatoes..its important that the food you give is mashed or blended since she doesnt have teeth yet. water is also essential every after meal to prevent constipation..with her feeding formula, you can give her 6oz every 4 hours..

its different for every baby...judging by what you said my 5month old would be ready for stage 3 but not stage 2 as she can crawl but not sit by herself!

i make my bubs food and she started eating about 4months 1feed a day now at 5 months i have stepped it up to 2 feeds a day morning and night now she is 5months.

If she is drinking al her milk and is still hungry give her more i say!!
good luck in what ever u decide

I started feeding a second feeding at about 6 months, as infants main staple before one should be milk.. (breast or formula) I make all my baby food so I could add, ice cubes to feeding to see where mine is at.
