I was just wondering if anyone didn't do whole milk. I will be asking the Ped soon but we drink 1%, I thought we could move it up to 2% and give that to her instead... Just wondering what other moms have done.

Thanks!

My kids were drinking full cream milk since they were 9 - 10 months old, They are fine.

I drink 2% personally but we give my son whole milk. The extra fat is important to them at their age so unless there's a medical reason not to (and sometimes there is) I would say it's important to give them whole milk.

I drink 2%, it's the only kind that I like. I have been giving my son whole milk since he was 12 months because he needs the fat and calcium that is in whole milk. He's a growing boy and needs as many nutrients as he can get. I don't know if 2% has as much calcium but I have been advised by my doctors that it's best to give children under 4 years whole milk.
