My baby girl is a week old. She was eating about 2oz every 4 hrs. All of a sudden it wasn't enough. Just wondering how much do other mom's feed their newborns.
How much too feed a 1 week old?

My son has been drinking 4 oz of formula every four hours since he was less than a week old and has a normal weight gain. Newborn appetites grow quickly and can change suddenly. And sometimes can be a little unpredictable especially if they are transitioning between volumes of intake.

As much as she wants, according to my doctor. She also said that she will eat more at night then during the day, which we are finding to be true. Somehow they know when to stop. Our daughter, who is only 5 days old pushes the bottle out of her mouth when she is done. Good luck!

My two week old only eats about 1-2oz every two hours.
