My mother-in-law just bought a bunch of things for the baby and wants to wash them before she gives them to us. Is it too early to wash these things since I have 20 more weeks to go?

Not at all! Use the time you have the strength to do such things! The more you do now the less you do later!

I didn't even think about keeping them in a dust free enviornment! lol. I imagine I can put some in a vaccum plastic bag =) Thanks ladies! Sometimes with the "pregnancy brain" I don't think things through all the way like I used to! lol

Just keep them in a dust free environment! Let your mother in law wash the clothes you can always wash them again later. (it gives her something to do, and lets her feel involved).

With my 1 year old son i washed all of his things together between 36-38 weeks and then put them away in his drawers, i'll be doing the same this time around as well. Personally i did it so i could see what i had and if there was anything else i needed before the arrival! And so i didn't forget what i had! I also put all of the same sizes in the same drawers, newborn in one drawer, 0-3 in another and so on..... i reckon i was bored lol :)

She can wash them before giving them to you, but you may want to wash them again around July in case they collect dust. You also may want to use a baby detergent if you have a history of sensitive skin.
