hello, my daughter will be 2 jan 8th but when she was younger she had a snotty nose 24/7, was wheeze and had a bad cough I fought with my family dr cause she kept telling me it was just a cold that she would grow out of it so I took her to a different hospital and her heart rate and breathing were "above normal" and the dr said she needed to see a pediatrician as soon as possible so we took her and he was sure she has asthma but cant be tested for it till 5 or 6 so she is being treating for asthma she has to take a puffer/inhaler 2 times a day and sleeps with a cold mist humidifier, and my family dr told me there was nothing wrong with her! I was pissed ..but she had the snotty nose+cough+wheezing for close to 8 months of her life before I could get drs to believe me that she was sick! if this just started with your son it could just be a bad cold or could be developing a allergy to something try saline drops for the nose and maybe a humidifier or vaporizer in his room to sleep with also try to elevate his head when sleeping (a pillow under his sheet or something) it will help from snot running down into his chest causing him to sound wheeze this seems to help my daughter..if he gets worse or it last for a couple of months i would take him to the dr.. hope this helps a little good luck (:
