Can only feed my baby when he is falling asleep no other time

I am so frustrated at the doctors they say he will grow out of it but since 5 weeks old he will only have 60 mls every 2 hrs at most not a probelm when younger but now his hands are in his mouth all the time his tummy i constantly rumbling with hunger but still only has 600mls in entire day if lucky and the 60ml feeds can only be given when I have patted him to sleep and he is starting to fall asleep so frustating, he is getting more and more grizzly due to hunger tried different teats, formulas, on soya now as lactose ones worse for his tummy also he is on losec for over 2 months. I so tired and frustrated and the last few weeks he has started losing weight now but doctor says as long as he has energy he looks alright!!!

my 6month old also has gastric reflux and he has started on solids now but even brings that back up. he drinks normal size bottles for his age and weght butperjectal vomits it almost immediatly after it he dosnt sleep at night at all im lucky if i get 1-2 hours a night. hes on infant gavicon which helps a little with the pain he gets coz he dosnt seem to cry as much when hes sick doctors say there is nothing else they can do untill hes 1yr-18months then he can have a operation to close the valve at the bottom of his osphagus which is what causes gastric feflux for those of you who have not been explained it to (i say that coz i had to personally ask my doctor what caused it) but said he will prob grow out of it my the time hes 1yr any way i have my figers crossed tighly for his sake. i know exsactly what your going though and my thoughts are with you

my baby has had reflux from day 1.she's nearly 1 yr old! we have been through it all.we've both cried! and my partner,over this! she's on Gaviscon again.it does help thankfully.all we are told is she'll grow out of it.if its still there when she's 18 months old then she'll be refurred to a specialist.her sleep has been disturbed coz she doesnt like lying flat in her cot.at one stage she was sleeping in her silver cross pram as it its adjustable! i'll do anything for a good nights sleep! she was happier too.seeing her in so much pain has been hard but hopefully by her 1st birthday it will go.all Emily will eat is pureed fruit,custard,yoghurt,rusk and milk etc.no lumps at all or she starts vomitting.not nice.
you are doing all you can for your baby,trust me,it will get better.i know how you feel.its so nice to chat with another mum who is going through the same as me.

have you tried goats milk or a lactose free formula. Also if he is losing weight and you are worried find another doctor because it dosent take a baby long to get reaal sick
