I named my boys quite unusual names although people that I know have used the 1st 2 of their names no one that I know of has used my youngest name. I know its madness but I am actually quite disapointed that the 1st two have been used haha My sons are called Raven (10) who was stillborn fullterm. Blaze Kaiden (9) and last but not least Diezel Raven who is 7 and Autistic. Most people dont like their names including Diezel :( he hate keeps asking me why I called him after petrol!! Obviously the other kids have been teasing him :( Maybe unusual names arent always a good idea? I still love them though.

Kids will find ANYTHING to pick on.
I used to HATE my name. I thought it was too unique. I didn't want to stand out. But as I got a bit older, I fell in love with my name and would NEVER change it now.

Maybe show your son other people with the same name, even if spelled differently. People like Vin Diesel or the wrestler Diesel (aka Kevin Nash, who CHOSE the name Diesel) Being a boy, your son might find a new *coolness* to his name :)
