Hey everyone! I am wondering if anyone has tried a back wearing position with their Moby wrap? Also, I just purchase a Mei-Tai and I'm wondering how that is on the back?

Thanks in advance.

Great!  I mostly use my moby for excercising with my daughter but I did just purchase  a Mei Tai.  I thought it would be better for back carrying.  I ordered it online and can't WAIT for it to come in!

I love my mei tai!! Used it with DD till she was18 months at least. Haven't used it with DS yet, but he's only 5 wks. If you search for ways to tie a wrap sling you will be amazed at the instructions you can find. Even with pics. I used a non-stretchy wrap with DD in a back carry quite easily. The mei tai's are definately quicker to put on, but the wraps can be more comfy for long periods of time.

I have troubles getting wraps secure enough on my back. I know it's possible, but I have issues with it. :) I LOVE back carries with a mei tai. It's actually quite simple to get a baby secure in a mei tai on the back. Just tie the waist strap first, then swing the baby over, and pull the shoulder straps up and over. This is my preferred carrier for toddlers and back carries. I just cooked dinner with my 12 month old on my back the other day because she wouldn't let anyone else hold her and wouldn't let me put her down.

I personally prefer the wrap for newborns/infants, and cold weather. Right now I put my wrap on in the morning, under my coat, then wear it all day while I'm running errands, with or without baby in it. :) My baby is getting a bit big for my wrap, since it is a bit stretchy she tends to sag after a while. I was considering getting another non-stretchy wrap... but I think I'm just going to get another mei tai instead. :)
