Hi all,
I wanted to say hi to our small group, and see if you all wanted to share a little something about yourselves.
I have a 10.5 mo daughter, Sophia. She has always been worn, we live in NYC and don't even own a stroller. Although she is getting heavier and heavier (naturally) so I'm thinking about picking up an umbrella stroller for those days my back needs a rest, and I have errands to do. Maybe it would be a fun change for her too. My favorite carrier was the Moby Wrap, until she was about 6 months old. I then discovered the ergo carrier (which seemed to be perfect timing because any earlier and she would have been too small IMO). It is now my favorite on the go carrier for ease of breastfeeding.
I am currently a SAHM.
Well, glad to see there are a few babywearers in this circle of moms!! :)
Take care,
Melissa

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply....I'm just now getting around to having a look around Circle of Moms and getting acquainted with some of the groups.

I have a three year old, Ember, and a 6 month old, River. I wore Ember until she was 2.5 and my belly got too big. I used a pouch sling and a Maya Wrap ring sling with her. With River, I discovered the wonderful world of wraps....I have used a LoveyDuds wrap (similar to a Moby but with fabric panel in the center for extra reinforcement) and a few other wraps I have made myself. I still use my pouch slings and the Maya wrap for quick in-and-out situations. Recently I have become addicted to back carries since they allow more freedom of movement than a front carry and it distributes her weight better. For Christmas, I'm hoping to add a Storchenweige woven wrap and a Babyhawk Mei Tai to my collection.

As you can see, I am a bit of a babywearing nut and busily trying to get other moms to cross over. It makes for happy babies and happy mamas alike
