I have a 4 yr old daughter who is a complete girlie girl. My question is about my boyfriends daughter. She is 5 1/2 and has all boy stuff boy bedding, boy underwear, wants boy shoes and is starting kindergarten in a few weeks and my boyfriend got her back to school supplies boy backpack, lunch box, pencil box. I guess my question is where do you draw the line? I personally wouldn't allow my daughter to have most of that stuff. There is a difference between liking opposite sex toys or movies but having it take over everything. I think kids need boundaries where does it get drawn? Maybe I am to closed minded about this. Won't the other girls say something about alll her boy stuff? Thanks

My niece used to where combat pants and only play with boy stuff right up until grade one, when she entered into kindergarten she was exposed to other girls she started to get more into girlie stuff. I would say that your boyfriend finds it easier to treat her like a little boy and play boy stuff that interest him rather than submit to playing tea party and dollies. My niece is now 17 and very girlie so it is a phase and she will outgrow it.
