I am studying nursing and will graduate in August. I have been extremely busy with my 2 year-old son and studying - it gets crazy at times. What is everyone else going to school for? How many kids do you have? How do you get your studying done?

Wow! Hi, I'm Elizabeth fro Maryland and I, also, am studying for my RN degree. I currently have 2 children ages 9 (daughter) and almost 6 (son). I have been going to college part-time now for 3 years and up till 1 month ago I worked full time as well. It has been extremely difficult. You want to spend time with the kids but know that you should be studying. I have a great support system so my suggestion is to try to find some great support for you and your child. Someone who is willing to play with him for a couple hours a day so you can study. This way there's no guilt about not spending time with him. Just make sure that you also carve out time for him and you one-on-one time. This way he won't feel left out ;-)
Hope this helps. Good luck

I live in Fremont, Nebraska - a little town with about 30,000 people. But I attend Clarkson College in Omaha - it's a little bit of a drive, but I really enjoy the private school setting!

Hi I'm studying psychology. I still have a way to go to finish my career but it has been a great adventure so far. I have two kids a 4 yr old and 1. I take online classes so I usually do my homework at night or their nap time.

i just started and Accelerated Bachelor's of Nursing Program at the University of Maine at Fort Kent. I've been at it for only 2 weeks and it's already kicking my butt. I just moved back from North Carolina with my younger 2 boys. My oldest and my husband will be joining us as soon as his school lets out. My parents and a friend are helping watch the boys while i study but between getting unpacked, finding a job, and caring for the boys I am having a horrible time keeping up...lots of stress but it will all be worth it in the end!

As of right now my program of choice is Physical Therapist Assistant. It was RN two semesters ago and I thought I would be a better fit for PTA. I won't be able to apply until next year, so wish me luck to get accepted.

I'm majoring in Psychology, just started out at TCC two semesters ago. Between a new husband, my 3 year old, moving, work, studying, and wanting to add another edition to our family, I can definitly relate to the craziness! I've learned to take my "me" time while my daughter is in daycare---whether it's unpacking the endless boxes or just sitting in front of the tv--to cut down on some stress. Mostly I do my studying after 9pm when my daughter goes to bed. That way I can go to a seperate room in the house (giving my fiance' his "me" time for video games" and I can relax and focus on my homework. I'll study until we both agree to go to bed for our time, and it keeps a balance in our hectic schedules. We've also traded off days for who takes care of what to keep everything equal.

I have a 9 year old boy and I finished my bachelor's degree in Architecture (minor in business administration) and then got pregnant in before my first semester of graduate school. I still attended full time and I took 3 weeks off of school after I had my son in February. I finished my first year and graduate in December of 2011 with my Masters degree in Architecture + Health. (I will be designing healthcare facilities) It has been a hard rough road but soon it will be over. Congratulations to all you moms out there going back to school!

I am going to school to be a teacher, I will graduate in February 2011, I'm so excited! I have a 6 year old and an almost 4 year old. It is difficult to do my homework at times but having a definite bed time and knowing they will be in their rooms asleep 2 hours before I go to bed gives me a little time every night to work on my school.

I go to school full time, I just recently committed myself to a double major of an Associate Degree of Liberal Art and an Associate Degree of Science in Accounting. I will finish in Spring of 2012. I've already completed my first year.

I have 2 kids at home, and 2 others that visit every other weekend. My children are school age. I get my studies done either at school, or at the library, but mostly at home while the kids are in school, otherwise, I do my homework when they're doing theirs. I take as many classes as possible online so I don't have to commute to and from school.

I treat my schooling and studying like a full time job, allotting time during the 5 day work week so I can spend my time on the weekends with my family.

Hi! Michaela, ny name is Sinthia and I am currently going to school working towards my AA on child development. I take one class a semester at night since I work full time and have two children. An 8 year old and a 6 year old. It is kinna hard, but I figure at the end is all worth it. I will probably finish in two years. Where are you residing at? I am in Santa Clarita California.

I am currently working on a nursing degree. I have been going to college since January 2005 but took a break for a year and a half to go to LPN school and in the fall, I am entering a LPN-RN bridge program. I have 2 kids and I have a hard time getting any studying done...I pretty much have to wait until they are in bed or go to school to do it.

I am going to school for my Associates Degree of Science in Business Administration. I have a 2 1/2 year old lil' girl named Raeghan and a 2 month son named Noah. Currently, I either do my studying whiel they are taking naps or after their daddy gets home from work and keeps an eye on them so I can do my assignments and get them turned in on time.

I am attending school online at Everest University majoring in Accounting. I still have like a year to go, but it has been okay so far it has been ok. Since I go to school online I am able to get most of my studying done when the younger children are napping and the older ones are at school; or at night when they are gone to bed. I have four daughters ages 8, 5, 4, & 3. I am also pregnant with a son that will be due anyday now

i am going to school to be a nurse but im still 3 years away im workin on pre reques now. i do have a hard time studying. my daughter is 14 months old and is very mobile but she is very well behaved. i can sit down with my books and she will sit down with her book and i can study for 20 min at at a time before she needs me, sometimes i can sit longer and stuyd. i know it dont seem much time but its better than not studying at all. when my fiance is home he helps alot. he is gone all day and loves coming home to her and when they play i get some good studying done as well as when she goes to bed. its hard at times but im determined to finish school

I am going to school for massage therapy and have a 11 month old girl, i cant seem to find time with work and spending time with her. I try to find someone to watch her to do my work but doesnt always work. I feel bad if i have to turn the tv on so she sits still long enough to get some reading done
