What are some ways to comfort a baby with ear infections? It almost seems that she is inconsolable sometimes and that is very frustrating. Anybody got any advice???

my daughter used to get them all the time when she was little the only thing that helped her was me sitting up in the rocking chair and holding her while she slept or propping up the head of her bed her doctor told me when they have ear infections and you lay them down flat in the bed it causes more pressure in their ears and makes it hurt worse. so i mastered the art of sleeping sitting up in a rocking chair while holding her. if your afraid you will drop her when you fall asleep in the chair you can always put her in one of those front carrying pouches and strap it on you while you both sleep sitting up. most babies find it comforting to just be held close by their mommies when they dont feel good
