how much do age differences matter to you when dating someone new? whats the most amount of years between you and another woman that you'd be OK with before you were too uncomfortable? do you think that two women with a big gap between their ages have a chance of working out in the long term?

I have been involved with another lady that was 16 years older than me. We dated for about a year and half, i loved her and she loved me. The only problem was that we both were still married. She ended up moving with her husband to maine to help their daughter out and we still keep in touch. I don't think so if you two are in love with each other and do not care about the age gap, then it shouldn't matter at all. But if that is all that you are thinking when you two are together out and about, then in my opinion, you two should not be together. Age is only a number but love is always there and true!!!

This is just my opinion, but I only go after someone who is at least 5 yrs older then me. That is with men or women, but here recently I have basically been proven wrong with that. I've met a guy that I connect with on a friendship level who is at least 16 yrs age difference. When it comes to the age gap to be able to have a long term, I think it depends on if they have some thing in common, so they can keep the communication open.

I want someone who's in the same general point in life as me. As an adult I've dated people still with a high school mentality, and I've dated people with whom it just sounded like all these new points in life for me were nothing, "been there, done that, wore the t-shirt until it fell apart" to him/her. Neither of those sit well with me. I'm 29, and I look for ages 21-45.

To answer your question, I think two women can work a relationship out despite a huge age gap. I think a lot of it would depend on where they are at emotionally.

I think I get along with anyone but my rule of thumb for a relationship has to be 10 years older to 5 years younger but not etched in stone but If I am attached to you and we get along anything goes
