Q. Where do you most enjoy shopping online for your family, and why?

A. I really love shopping at Target online because I know that once it gets to my house, if I'm unsatisfied with it, I can take it directly back to the store and I don't have to worry about shipping it back at all. That REALLY is a big one for me! Plus, Target just has so much for everyone that I can get all my shopping done, pretty much in one place.

Q. Can you suggest a fun birthday party game or creative activity for 6-8 year-olds?

A. When I was a kid one of my favorite games was the candy bar game where you sit in a cirlcle and get to choose a candy bar that was in a pile in the center of the circle. You put it in a paper lunch bag and hoped to keep it. But the game was a lot like a white elephant gift exchange where you could steal someone else's candy bar (you just had to remember what they had!) and you went around the circle a couple more times trying to get what you wanted. Candy is like a million dollars to 6 year olds- they love it!

About Connie B & Her Blog

  • How did your style change (if at all) after becoming a mom?

I've definitely realized some things I just can't wear around the house, they aren't comfortable or ideal to wear while taking care of small kids. But I wouldn't say my style has changed; because I still get dressed up and wear things I love- it just has to fit the occasion. I'm definitely wearing something different at a girls night than I wear to the park. And I'm okay with it, because it's still "my style" and something I enjoy wearing.

  • What's your favorite stylish and practical item?

I seem to veer towards fun tops. Anything not your average t-shirt I love. I think the reason for this is because I don't always wear jewelry since I have a toddler who yanks them off of me. So it's practical in that sense... and I feel stylish in them too.

  • What's a quick thing moms can do to take their style up a notch?

I think my style is improved when I get out and do things without my kids on occasion. Going on a date night with my husband or spending a little time with friends now and then gives me a reason to doll myself up beyond what I would when I'm at home with the kids. So because of that, I'm still on the look out for the latest trends and such.
