Q. What's your favorite kid-friendly restaurant in NYC?

A. We love to go for Dim Sum! There's nothing better than sitting down in a bustling Chinatown restaurant and immediately have carts of steaming, delicious food appear! The kids try everything when we go for dim sum because everything is in tiny portions and it's always fun when it comes off a cart. Our fave dim sum restaurants are Triple 8 because it's huge and you can always get seated right away and Ping's Seafood. Even if you have totally picky eaters this is a great experience. They can always eat dumplings and rice! Plus it's super cheap.

About Rebecca Levey & Her Blog

  • The Best Part of Living in NYC

Pretty much my entire life - I grew up in Park Slope, Brooklyn and now live in Manhattan. I can't imagine living anywhere but NYC. There is no best part of NYC for me. I love the mix of ethnicities and the way we truly are a melting pot, I love the subway and buses and the fact that I don't have to own a car. I love that my kids are getting an insanely enriched and interesting public school education because of all of the resources in the city and the cultural institutions. And, as a mom, I love that EVERYTHING delivers!

  • My Favorite Kid-Friendly Activity in New York City

We don't have one favorite activity and they've changed as my daughters have gotten older. We love biking along the Hudson, going to shows and concerts, finding new amazing ice cream places or going for dim sum in Flushing. My favorite thing is to just explore a neighborhood, try new foods and constantly see the city through a kid's eyes.

  • The Biggest Challenge of Raising Children in New York City

Space. Hands down. It's the big trade off but so far we feel it's worth it.
