At what age do you let your child decide what to wear?

It is important to let children make their own decisions as soon as they start becoming aware of choices. I do feel as a parent we have the ultimate say, especially if it is a special occasion etc. But as far as just knocking around the house my boys (2 and 7yrs) are free to choose what they want to wear as long as it is weather appropriate. Our 2yr old has a couple of favourite tops he will always want to wear and also his Buzz PJ's!What's the best family vacation destination in Australia?
