Of all the DIY projects you've done, which was your favorite?

I love love love the pallet wood wall we did in my son's old nursery. It was by far one of my favorite DIY projects because it was cheap and was full of texture and personality.

What's your advice for moms who want to decorate their home on a budget?

Paint! Paint it all! Seriously...paint is so cheap and with the right techniques, you can turn anything drab into something fab. I've seen painted upholstery, painted walls, painted rugs, painted curbside trash furniture...it all ends up looking amazing for super cheap.

Where do you find inspiration for keeping your home stylish?

Blogs...magazines...catalogs....nature....photography. Inspiration can come from anywhere...and as the old advice goes, fill your home with things you love and they will never go out of style!

How do you effectively (but stylishly) organize and store your kids' toys?

Stashing them in an oversized basket with a faux sheepskin throw on top is not only easy but it is oh-so-stylish.
