Can you say chaos?

Mom of six (this number keeps increasing somehow). I mostly blog about life in the Garnett household, with the occasional rant thrown in about random things from Y&R to Tim McGraw's wardrobe. Don't judge me.

In what way is the South unique from other places you've lived or traveled?

In a word, it's FRIENDLY. I grew up and live in a small town - okay, it's not even a town, it's a community - where everybody knows everybody. To some people, that might be a negative thing because it's true that folks are all up in your business, but it has its positive aspects too. If you have a sickness or a tragedy, our community will come together and take care of your meals, your kids, your chores at home... whatever needs to be done. Southern hospitality is real, at least in my experience. This blog contest was a good example. When I told my friends and family that I was in a contest, they started voting and spreading the word like crazy. They became voting MACHINES! People I hardly even knew would see me and tell me they voted. I felt like I was on "American Idol"!

What outdoor activity do you enjoy doing most with your kids?

We are water people. The beach, the lake, the pool. My kids would rather be in the water than anywhere else. When that's not an option, I love to sit outside at home and just let them ride bikes or play with sidewalk chalk.

What's a great destination for a family vacation in the South?

My husband's family has a condo in Orange Beach, so that is really the only placed we have vacationed in years. We love it there - we could stay forever!
