  • What inspired you to start blogging?

    I started my blog about 2 1/2 years ago when there were hardly any other "party" blogs out there. It was a way to share my party style & point of view, and support my local party design business. Since then, Celebrations At Home Blog has become a thriving 'inspiration' site that is a business all its own.

  • What are three distinctive features of your blog?

    1. I feature a lot of gorgeous work by others, but when I create editorial designs or client parties, I keep "real budgets" and "real women" in mind. 2. Details! The parties and projects I share on the blog are full of small, interesting details. 3. Many sites focus on children's parties, whereas I love the "art of entertaining" and focus equally on adult celebrations.

  • What is your favorite part of planning parties?

    My favorite part of planning parties is the brainstorming and conceptualization. It's amazing how a party will begin with certain ideas and evolve into something your client never would have dreamed of.
