What's your favorite subject to photograph, besides your kids?
My favorite subject to shoot, other than my daughter (of course), is the street. I live in New York and I love to go on walks and shoot cityscapes. I like looking for small details that people often overlook and I like capturing people in their every day element when they do not notice that I am there watching them. The city is alive with so much energy and activity and I love to try to absorb it and hold on to it with my camera.
Which camera do you usually use?
I primarily shoot with a Nikon d300 and several different lenses, as well as a Fuji Instax and my iPhone. Occasionally I also go back to basics with my vintage Nikon FM2.
What's a creative way to display photographs?
I love creating gallery walls at home using family photos and photos from my personal archives. I recently did a tutorial for how to make one on my blog. You can get really creative with making up themes of images, telling stories with your photos and also choosing fun frames.
I also love making photo books. With the crazy amount of photographs that I take during any given week so many images are left to collect proverbial dust on my hard drive and memory cards and it's fun to go through them, pick a few favorites to hang on the walls in my home and to make photo books. Photo books are a fantastic alternative to albums and they make wonderful gifts for grandparents, godparents and aunts and uncles.
My husband also loves the digital frame that I gave him for his first Father's Day. I filled it with a "greatest hits" of sorts and every few months he brings it home from his office where he keeps it on his desk and I update it with new shots.

What's your family's favorite recipe for chicken or tofu?
I roast a chicken once a week and whatever doesn't get eaten that night is great for leftovers, in a salad or as chicken salad.
I take a whole chicken with the skin and throw on some salt and herbs de provence. Then I slice up a couple of chicken and squeeze them over the chicken. Add a few teaspoons of balsamic vinegar and a bottle of non-alcoholic beer. Rub it all in to the skin of the bird and get some underneath the skin if you can. Throw in some potatoes, onions, whole garlic cloves and carrots in the bottom of the roaster and mix it all up in the liquid. Put it in the oven breast down for about 30 minutes at 350. After 30 mins turn it once and cook it breast up until finished. We love it and I serve it with rice pilaf or couscous. My daughter loves to munch on the legs. delicious and very easy!
