Honestly? One of the best dishes I ever got after my twins were born was a tureen of home made chicken noodle soup. It was laden with fresh vegetables, chunks of chicken and was hearty, full of nutrients, could be eaten quickly and simply warmed my soul.

What are the most important things to do while on maternity leave before going back to work?

Jen Logan

Learn your own version of a balancing act. You need to find your stride and set up routines that work for YOU and your baby/babies. If you are like me and had twins, one with special needs, there are extra things to consider. You will learn little things as you go. Baby wipes, will clean everything. You will not die from lack of sleep. You will die if you don't eat or drink. If people offer to help you, take it. Most of all, love your baby and yourself. Ultimately, nothing else matters. Enjoy your time.
