Either go for a fun swim or a stomp on the beach and then stay out for fish 'n' chips at our local cafe, or cook together, involving the girls, usually a Thai noodle dish, then snuggle on the sofa eating homemade popcorn to watch a film.
That you cannot plan for everything. The only thing you can expect is the unexpected. A good mother learns to bend in the wind and go with the flow.
Natty was born with Down's Syndrome and that was undiagnosed until after her birth. I quickly learnt that life can change course at any moment and you don't have the faintest clue how strong you are until you really have to be.
You have two choices at every crossroads in life. To give up, or do the very best you can. I chose the latter.
Oh, that and how much motherhood is all about poo, burping and never having a minute to yourself, but you knew that didn't you ;)
We love Charades, Ludo, Snap and matching games and we often do large floor puzzles together. In summer we love making assault courses in the garden or going on treasure hunts by the seaside.
