What do you love about being a military mom?

The adventure! This is not the life I grew up knowing but I love all the experiences my son will have because of this military lifestyle.

What advice would you give to moms on how to build a new support circle after a move?

Don't have expectations that things will be like they were at the last duty station. (and that's okay) I have met a great group of girlfriends through church and programs I've been involved in. Jump in to something as soon as possible!

What's a tip for helping kids cope with a parent's absence?

Pray for them! Each child is different and unique so they'll handle their parent being gone in their own way. Honestly this is something i'm learning right now and am finding having people that come alongside of our family really helps fill that void when my husband is away. Children need our love and attention and it doesn't hurt to have other people pouring into their lives.
