What is your favorite quick breakfast recipe?

Kimberly, The Food Allergy Mom

My family's favorite quick breakfast recipe is oatmeal. To keep the sugar content and food allergens within my control, we use the whole oats (not the cute little flavored packets). Your family will be able to start the day with a hot, nutritious meal and each day can be different with the below variations: -Add 1 tablespoon of honey, some fruit, and a dash of cinnamon -Add 1/2 a banana and 1 Tablespoon of Sunbutter -Add a dash of brown sugar and cinnamon and a teaspoon of maple syrup -Add 1 tablespoon of your favorite jelly If I have a little more time, my family is just crazy over my peanut, nut, and gluten-free quiche. Check out the related blog post for the entire recipe.

What is an easy vegetable recipe that your kids love?

Kimberly, The Food Allergy Mom

I find that the most kid-pleasing and healthy recipes are the ones that you can sneak vegetables into. I've added vegetables into the following dishes without complaint from my little ones: lasagna, quiche, nachos, mexican casseroles, quesadillas, and even macaroni and cheese. One of my favorites is listed in the related blog post...my peanut, nut and gluten-free quiche! Enjoy!

What's your family's favorite recipe for weekend breakfasts?

Kimberly, The Food Allergy Mom

My family's favorite weekend breakfast is cinnamon toast. Since I'm gluten-free and my son is peanut/nut/sesame/chickpea free, everyone uses their own safe bread. We spread some butter on each slice of bread and then top it off with a mixture of cinnamon sugar. We pop it in the oven on broil for about two minutes and out comes sweet, crunchy perfection. Glass of hot chocolate is optional, but recommended!
