What's your favorite vegan or vegetarian friendly product?

It's a hard one to pick - but I would have to say coconut oil. Baking, frying, raw desserts - it works a treat in any cooking capacity, not to mention the huge health benefits it promotes - it's a crucial source of saturated fat for vegans. I also use it as a moisturiser, eye make up remover, add it to baths.... the list of it's uses just goes on and on!

What's the biggest misconception people have about being a vegan or vegetarian?

That we live on boring "rabbit food" and don't get enough protein! Ha!

What's your best tip for families who want to start living a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle?

Be responsible - eat REAL food that has had none/minimal processing, and get in an abundance of fruit & veggies. Supplement with Vitamin B12, and make sure to get out in the sun for the ever-vital Vitamin D. If you choose to eat dairy look for quality, local sources from happy, well looked after animals.
