Can you recommend a great summer snack to feed kids on break or to pack for days at camp? (Please include a link to the recipe.)

Joanna

These PB&J Baby Truffles are perfect for camp or crazy busy summer days because they are all natural, don't need refrigeration, and pack a protein punch to keep energy going. They are gluten and peanut free, even though they taste like peanuts! They are also so versatile, like little Lara Bars, so you can use any fruit or nut combo you like.

My son absolutely loves these Carrot Apple Cheddar bites. It's a guaranteed way to make sure he has a fruit, veggie, and protein serving at meal time, but I also use them as snacks often! You can mix and match the ingredients to your tastes, too. We love them with zucchini! http://jojobean26.blogspot.com/2012/02/nibbles.html

What's an affordable family summer vacation destination? (please include a link)

Hershey Park or Sesame Place if you are in the tri-state area or PA! It's only a tank of gas to drive over and you can do both places in a weekend if you want a quick trip! HErshey Parl is great for all ages, while Sesame Place is obviously best for littles. http://www.hersheypark.com/tickets/index.php?gclid=CLqo8uHL8bACFUHf4AodrTEggg

Can you recommend a great hot lunchbox meal for kids for the cold weather months? Please include a link to your recipe.

Joanna

Roasted tomato soup is my favorite! Packed in a thermos, it is wonderful in a lunchbox with some bread for dipping, or crackers for sprinkling. My son isn't school aged or even soup and a spoon aged yet, so he's drinks his from a sippy cup!

While in Mexico my husband got hooked on arrachera, a sweet/spicy steak make tender by marinating overnight and perfected on the grill. We make our version often in the summer: http://jojobean26.blogspot.com/2010/05/viva-la-celebration.html?m=1

We absolutely love grilling corn and slathering it with compound butter (like lime and cilantro butter or garlic Parmesan butter) or adding it to salads like this one: http://jojobean26.blogspot.com/2010/08/seriously-this-is-your-last-chance.html?m=1 But if you really want to impress, try these Bone In Rib Eyes. Best Father's Day meal ever!
