I am an observant Orthodox Jewess, which means a lot of modesty rules, even when going to the pool. If I'm swimming in a women only environment, I can wear any bathing suit. However, my husband and I enjoy taking the kids to the pool together, which is why I love Hydrochic modest swimwear. http://hydrochic.com/ I have no relationship with their company other than I enjoy the product and recommend it to any mom looking for relatively modest swimwear, Jewish or not.What's on your bucket list of things to do with your kids this summer?

I stopped sterilising my babies' bottles when they were about 6 month old and started eating food. The pediatric nurses that I used to work with, laughed at me for sterilising at all, their opinion was to only sterilise once when the bottles are new and then maybe once in a while, but just a normal wash should suffice even from newborn stage. I often discussed this with my sister her to sterilised alot longer than I did - she claimed that the soya formula that her daughter used was more prone to growing bacteria which is why she continued sterilising. I think that a lot depends on how quickly you wash your bottles, or if they tend to be left for a while with the used milk in them. It's quite a personal choice.We're looking for decorating inspiration! Please share a link to a photo of your child's room.

We started out my daughter's room with a gentle orange colored theme, as we wanted it to keep it unisex. However, once my second daughter joined her, I couldn't resist going pink. By using a mutli-colored rug as a feature in the room, we were able to incorporate the pink without giving up on the orange. On my blog (see the link above, "Going Green"), in addition to a general view of the room, I've detailed how I'm using greeting cards received on the occasion of their births to decoupage a set of wooden drawers which will become a feature in the room.What's a great theme you've done for your child's birthday? I recently created a pink elephant birthday party for my four-old daughter. Usually I let my kids choose a cake from my favourite cake book and then plan the party around the cake. I chose activities that would be fun, age-suitable (for her four-year old friends and their younger siblings) and simple to plan. Why buy a cheap toy when you can custom-make your own. I recently made a dollhouse from a cardboard box, it was free (besides for the cost of glue), took very little time to make and turned out great. If your kids are a bit older, you can even involve them in the creating, adding more value to the toy. At my 4 year olds recent party: we made binoculars from toilet paper rolls, and we iced cookies - huge success. For my younger daughter, (2yr old party) (unfortunately no picture yet): we made necklaces: I pre-cut pieces of ribbon/scooby wire and put out several dishes of snacks that have holes in them, cheerios, and lots of different chips. the kids thread their necklaces, and then ate them! I copied this from a friend of mine, and it is probably my favourite birthday craft so far.What food could I give to a 16 month old who doesn't like meat?

It definitely is a challenge. What about turkey? It's also a protein, and it is a good source of iron. At 16 months, eggs are an alternative for the protein and vitamin b12, (but not the iron - so need some green leafy vegetables). Either way, keep trying to introduce meat every couple of months as toddlers can be very fickle with what they agree to eat and might just change their mind - making your life easier.What's the funniest thing your child has ever said?

I was watching a signing time video with my 4 year old daughter, Eliya, and we saw (for those of you familiar with signing time) a clip of little Lucy in her wheelchair. So I used the opportunity to explain to my daughter that not everybody is as lucky as us to be able to walk, and Lucy uses this special chair as she can't walk. She asked me why she can't walk and I explained that G-d made her not be able to walk. The next day, we were watching over a friend's baby and we were talking to her but of course, being a baby she wasn't talk back to us. Eliya immediately commented that obviously G-d had made this baby not be able to talk. It was a funny-serious moment, where I realised how much a 4 year old (and all children really) absorb and internalise what we say. It really is worth using every experience to expose your child to different concepts, as they can learn to be as tolerant as we teach them to be.What's a creative gift wrap idea? 1. Wrapping a gift with fabric, is a creative and eco-friendly idea. You can either use scraps of fabric you have leftover from a craft project, or you can buy something special which becomes part of the present itself. For example, if the gift is something for the kitchen, wrap in a dish towel. If the gift is a set of pampering soaps, you can wrap it in an equally pampering silk scarf. 2. Once you've wrapped your present, you still need a gift tag. A creative, frugal idea is to cut out your favourite pictures from cards you've received in the past, and upcycle them into new gift tags. Alternatively, there's an ingenious chalk fabric gift card, which is reusable.
