Aunt Mae is mom to 5 and homeschooling the one left at home to the glory of God. She blogs about femininity, gluten/dairy free, homeschooling, preparedness, politics and... life!

What do you think are the greatest advantages of homeschooling?

What advice would you give to a mom who is considering homeschooling her child?

What's one homeschooling challenge you've faced, and what solutions did you find?

What's a great theme you've done for your child's birthday? Please share a link with a photo.

We have had many different birthday party themes over the years. For his 7th birthday our son wanted a John Deere party. We were also trying to be more frugal and party decorations can be so expensive... and are usually used one time. I came up with some fun and creative ways to make a tractor loving boy's party dream come true! We always play the old fashioned party games, just like the ones I remember fondly from all my childhood birthdays!! http://honeyfromflintyrocks.wordpress.com/2012/06/22/a-john-deere-birthday-party-and-old-fashioned-party-games/

What's a great item to include in a birthday goodie bag? Please include a link to a photo if you have one.

~Aunt Mae (aka ~Mrs. R)

If this is for another mom, then my handmade soaps are one excellent item to include! This soap is very moisturizing to your skin. It is also a v-e-r-y hard bar so it will last a long time without becoming mushy, making this a good economic value! You can purchase these soap bars through the Mae's Soap tab along the top of my blog. Another item would be a unique flexi clip to help the mom do her hair quickly, easily and with style!

What's a creative gift wrap idea? Please share a link to a blog post if you have one!

I have had my son draw pictures with markers on a paper bag and used that for the gift wrap. Was very well received!

What's your child's favorite thing to do in the snow? Please include a link to a picture if you have one.

~Aunt Mae (aka ~Mrs. R)

Our son loves, loves, loves to make snowmen! That is his #1 favorite thing to do in the snow!! Living in the Pacific Northwest, we don't always get enough snow to make a snowman, but when we do... he's out there rolling snowballs! Sometimes he rolls them so big that it is nearly impossible to get them UP on the first ball!! Afterwards we always have hot chocolate and sit by the pellet stove to warm out frozen fingers and toes!
