Did you always want a big family? If not, when did you change your mind?
It was after our first child was born, after we had struggled with infertility. My husband said, "Let's not mess with this again!" And we haven't. We didn't know that we'd get a large family, though. It certainly doesn't work that way for everyone. God is in control.
What's a common misconception about big families?
That the mom is patient! I get that all the time from strangers. I'm working on being more patient, but it is not natural for me. And I certainly didn't decide to have a big family because I'm good at it!
How many children do you have? What's the age difference between the oldest and youngest?
We have 8 children: 11, 10, 8, 7, 5, 3, 2, and 1 month. 8 kids in 11 years!

What's the best form of exercise for a tired, busy mom who wants to get back in shape?
T-Tapp is what has worked for me. You can do it at home (on a DVD) in only 15 minutes a day for the Basic Workout Plus! Teresa Tapp has found the best way to work the muscles and burn the fat without wasting time. Perfect for us busy moms (like me, a homeschooling mom of 8). :). What's the funniest thing your child has ever said?
The other day my 6 yo said,
"Mom, I don’t like all five senses of bananas. I don’t like to taste them. I don’t like to smell them. I don’t like to see them. I don’t like to feel them."
"And you don’t like like to hear people eat them?" I asked.
"I don’t even like to hear people talk about them!" he said.
I guess he really doesn’t like bananas!
