What's the most creative dessert idea you've come up with for a party? Please share a link if you have one.
I love to use "plays on words" especially when planning children's parties. My favorite creative dessert was the "Root-deer" Float Bar I did for a party last Christmas. It was simple, festive and root beer floats were an unexpected holiday treat! http://www.jacolynmurphy.com/2012/12/root-deer-floats.html
What's a cool DIY project you would recommend for party decorations?
I get really excited about DIY projects, especially when it fits in perfectly with a party theme! I recently planned an Instagram Themed Party and looked all over for "hashtags" to be used for the decor. Then it dawned on my how easily they could be made and they would be exactly how I wanted them. Glittered paper, double sided tape, glue gun and fishing line was all it took. http://www.jacolynmurphy.com/2013/05/the-instagram-bar-mitzvah.html
What are some of your favorite kid-friendly party snacks that are healthy too?
I think the best way to make party snacks and drinks more enticing is through the presentation. I always have bottled water at parties and children and adults are always drawn to them when they have a fun, party themed label. One of my favorites are the labels I do for video game parties: http://www.jacolynmurphy.com/2012/12/root-deer-floats.html
And veggie trays are also more festive with a silly tag, such as these I did for a pool party: http://www.jacolynmurphy.com/2011/08/pool-partydips-drinks-and-swim-snacks.html
