What inspired you to start blogging?
Friends and family were always asking me questions about how to live a more sustainable life so I thought an easy way to answer these questions and to share what we were doing to be more eco-friendly was to start blogging! I decided to focus strictly on the environment because it is something I am really passionate about. I wanted to create a little community where we could learn from each others successes (and failures), laugh and celebrate the awesome things we are doing to make this world a better place.

What are 3 things you can teach other moms to make their lives more eco-friendly?
1. Educate yourself about what is offered in your community. Are there free backyard compost bins for pickup? Are there days where you can buy a rain barrel? What recycables are picked up curbside and are there others that you can recycle if you bring into a center? 2. Look for alternatives to buying all your food at the grocery store. Grow your own garden with fruit, vegetables and herbs! If your family eats meat look for a local farmer that raises organic, free range, drug free meat and buy it in bulk. 3. 2nd hand is better than new. Trade clothing and toys with other local moms or check out consignment shops.
