I like to throw parties, I like to craft, I like to go fun places. And that's what I blog about.

What's a cool DIY project you would recommend for party decorations?

What are some of your favorite kid-friendly party snacks that are healthy too?

Can you suggest a fun birthday party game or creative activity for 6-8 year-olds?

Your local craft store is a treasure trove to matching a fun activity to your party theme. We've done a craft for every home party! I love a party favor that does double duty as an activity...from painting ceramic and wood items, to making your own soap, you name it, you can find it for boys and girls. For example, at a recent movie party, (Percy Jackson And The Lightning Thief), boys painted dragons while girls painted mirrors that had unfinished frames. At an ice cream party, I found 3-packs of ceramic ice cream cones and sundaes, put out paint, and let the kids enjoy themselves.

As most little boys do, my youngest loves LEGO, so we had to do a LEGO party! I found a great set of printables as a starting point and ran with lots of fun ideas!

A few years ago, I created a Down On The Farm Party and we had a few ideas that would translate well for a Western party, like the barn photo backdrop with a hobby horse prop, and wearing bandannas with paper vests the guests decorated themselves.
