What's one tip you'd give to moms struggling to make time for physical activity?
As moms, time is the toughest challenge we face every day. When pulled in a million directions it is difficult to find the time to be active. Make sure it's a schedule part of your day. More importantly, make sure it is scheduled at a realistic time. If you're not a morning person, you won't get up at 5:00 and are setting yourself up for failure.
What's your best advice for moms trying to get healthy?
Incorporate one healthy item at a time. It can be anything from making a big container of salad for the week so it's easy to grab or writing things in a journal. There are great apps that help track your food intake, water intake, etc. Grab a girlfriend and start a new activity together!
What motivates you to stay active while raising a family?
We all have bad days, and that's okay. The important thing is to limit it to one bad day, then get right back to it! Balance keeps me on track and motivated as well. Fitness is physical, spiritual and mental. We need to ensure we are feeding each of these needs and keeping all three in balance.
