What's your favorite subject to photograph, besides your kids?
Other people's kids! Children are just so much more expressive and carefree than adults, which make them a lot more fun to photograph. My goal is always to take a photograph that captures the magic and innocence of childhood - if I manage it, then it's a wonderful memory for any parent. (I'm always secretly delighted when one of my mom friends asks me for a copy of a photograph I've taken!) I do like to photograph adults too - it just seems so simple in comparison!
Which camera do you usually use?
I use the Canon Rebel T3i, which is a great amateur camera, but I would love to upgrade to a full frame like the Canon 5D one day - maybe if I save really, really hard for the next five years....
What's a creative way to display photographs?
Collages on a large canvas are a fun and creative way to showcase lots of photos in one place, and are a really easy way to create an impact with your photographs. (Alternatively you could group smaller canvases of different sizes together to get the same look) I also like to see framed photos hung together in a wall display but with a dash of personal style mixed in - combine different print sizes, go for an eclectic range of frames, or choose colored mats to give each display a unique and individual look.
